Welcome to my blog

Hi, my motivation for beginning this blog is that in 2012 I will hit 60, so maybe this is a good time to pause and reflect!

I'm not ready to give up the day job just yet, but I feel I need to begin to plan for a different kind of a life in the future. One thing that struck me was that I would need to find different outlets for my creativity. I use a great deal of creativity in my work as I develop projects and organise and run events amongst other things. I like to innovate and be at the cutting edge.

Question: how to engage with my creativity in retirement?
Answer: begin a journey to find my creative core now!

Good for you, Barbara, taking such a positive approach to the BIG 60.I hit 50 this year and instead of a party, I've made time throughout 2011 to do exciting things for ME.One of which was Amelia's Course !!

Yay for you, Barbara. Other than being a few years older than you, I'm on the same exploration path that you are, finding the right creative path to go into retirement with. I'm happy to see you have that same kind of need and also chose photography. Enjoy your learning time.

I retired six years ago and have been on a creative journey ever since. I loved my job and the only regret I have is that I did not spend more time thinking about what I wanted to do next. But I am enjoying finding out. I know you will enjoy following your own creative journey and where ittakes you.
